With real estate experience spanning more than 25 years, Robert Blackwell provides skilled, insightful solutions for NAI Realvest.
Before becoming a company principal, Blackwell owned American Real Estate & Financial Services, a commercial real estate and mortgage brokerage firm. He also is a mortgage broker specializing in construction lending, and has conducted economic feasibility research.
In the area of office and industrial development and leasing, Blackwell represented the developer of American Industrial Center for 14 years during the construction and acquisition of one million square feet of industrial space. He also leased-up new construction and supervised property management.
Representing Bavar Properties Group, Blackwell was responsible for identifying and acquiring office and industrial development sites in Central Florida, preparing market research to determine product design and market niche, and executing marketing plans for the leasing of new space.
In the area of land sales, Blackwell represented Avatar Properties in the development and execution of the marketing plan for the sale of industrial land – which resulted in the sale of more than 200 acres totaling $18 million in 22 transactions over a two-year period.
In the area of tenant/buyer representation, he represented DHL for 34,500 square feet of office/warehouse lease in Seminole County, Fla., and Marketing Configurations for a $3,400,000 office/warehouse sale in Orange County, Fla.
Blackwell received a B.A. in English from Principia College. He holds Florida Real Estate and Mortgage Brokers Licenses. Blackwell completed the Corporate Real Estate Sales Training (CREST) course through NAI, and is an NAI University Graduate.
Blackwell belongs to the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), and is an active member of the Economic Development Commission of Central Florida and the local NAIOP Chapter.
