Alan Byrd, Vice President Sales, Marketing & Public Relations

Alan Byrd oversees all company efforts in the areas his position covers, and is the first point of contact for new customers to McCree. He also represents McCree through his committed involvement with numerous Central Florida civic, community, charity and industry organizations.

Byrd’s community leadership includes the position of Chairman of the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce, Executive Committee member of the Central Florida Zoo, Co-Chair of Insight Apopka 2025, board member and nominating committee chairman of the Valencia Community College Foundation, board member and Communications Committee Chairman of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Education Foundation of Osceola County and board member of the Education Foundation of Osceola County.

He is currently President of the Coastal Conservation Association’s (CCA) Orlando chapter, and state board member of the organization. Byrd has spearheaded charity fundraising activities for the CCA, as well as the Salvation Army, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Valencia Community College Foundation.

Before joining McCree, Byrd was the Director of Circulation Sales and Marketing for Orlando Business Journal, where he began his career as a reporter. During Byrd’s eight years covering tourism, sports and transportation for OBJ, he won numerous awards, including best business story in the United States from the Society of Business Editors and Writers for his 1998 reporting on the Moscow Circus.

Byrd is the author of the guidebook, Florida Spring Training, Your Guide to the Grapefruit League (The Intrepid Traveler).

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida, and his Associate of Arts degree from Valencia Community College.

Evan Landis, Chief Financial Officer

Responsible for managing all financial aspects of McCree, Evan Landis has a twofold objective: to protect the assets of the company and ensure that its infrastructure is easy for customers to deal with and navigate.

Prior to joining McCree, Landis was Financial Analyst for Datamax Corp., a subsidiary of Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV), which specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of products for bar code and RFID labeling.

He is a member of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the Central Florida Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association. Landis gives back to the community by serving as a mentor for Grand Avenue and Rosemont elementary schools.

Landis has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Florida, and a Masters of Business Administration specialization in Finance from the Crummer Graduate School of Business, Rollins College.
